Privacy notice

Last updated 29 October 2026

This is my personal portfolio. This notice says what personal data the site handles when you visit it or talk to my AI twin, why, who else receives it, and what you can ask me to do about it.

Who is responsible

Nikita Pokryshko, a private individual in Warsaw, Poland, is the controller of the personal data described here. Write to nick@elponi.com about anything in this notice.

Visiting the site

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, it receives your IP address, your browser's user agent and the address of the page you ask for, and keeps them in short-lived server logs to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Vercel's bot protection runs a small invisible check in your browser before chat requests are answered.

On the live site, Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights count page views and measure how fast pages load. They set no cookies, and the site sends them the page's address without its query or anything after #. I see totals, not individual visitors.

Basis: my legitimate interest in running a working, secure site and knowing which pages are read (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Talking to the AI twin

What you type in the chat is sent, with the rest of that conversation, to Anthropic's API, which generates the answers. Anthropic processes it as my service provider under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to train models on that data; it keeps API data only for a limited time, as those terms describe.

I do not store conversations on a server and do not read them. The conversation is kept in your browser tab (session storage) so it survives a reload, and is gone when you close the tab.

To keep the chat from being abused, the server counts requests per IP address over a ten-minute window, in memory only; the counts are not written anywhere.

The chat does not collect contact details. If you give the twin your email, it is not saved — the twin points you to nick@elponi.com instead. Please don't send sensitive information.

The microphone button uses your browser's own speech recognition. Depending on the browser, the audio may be processed by its maker (Google, in Chrome); it never reaches me — only the resulting text goes into the chat, as if you had typed it.

Basis: my legitimate interest in answering the questions you choose to ask (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Writing to me

If you email me, I use your address and message to reply and keep the correspondence for as long as the conversation needs it. Basis: my legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets no cookies. It uses your browser's storage only for what the page needs: the light or dark theme you picked and a few display preferences (local storage), and the current chat (session storage). None of it is used to track you.

Content from other sites

Case pages show posts from X with their authors' pictures, loaded from X's servers, so X sees your IP address when they appear. YouTube videos load from youtube-nocookie.com only when you press play. Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, Product Hunt and other sites take you to those sites, under their own privacy policies.

Who receives the data

Two service providers process personal data for me:

  • Vercel Inc. (USA) — hosting, server logs, bot protection, page statistics.
  • Anthropic PBC (USA) — generating the AI twin's answers.

Transfers outside the EEA

Both providers are in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards in their data processing terms: the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, where the company is certified, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

How long

  • Server logs — as long as Vercel keeps them (a short period); I keep no copies.
  • Page statistics — aggregated counts only.
  • Chat — in your tab until you close it; at Anthropic, for the limited period its terms set.
  • Rate-limit counts — ten minutes, in memory.
  • Email — for as long as our conversation needs it.

Your rights

You can ask me for access to your data, to correct or erase it, to restrict its use, to receive it in a portable form, and you can object to any use based on legitimate interest. Write to nick@elponi.com; I'll answer within a month.

You can also complain to the supervisory authority: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl.

Nothing on the site makes decisions about you by automated means with legal or similarly significant effects.
